When we talk about glaucoma, many people are aware that it is an eye condition, but few truly understand what it is or how to treat it. Lumi developed a series of 4 explainer videos for Pfizer. These videos were designed to clarify various aspects of glaucoma, from risk factors to available surgical methods, with the aim of educating and raising awareness about this condition that can affect the vision of millions of people worldwide.

Context

Preserving vision is essential for quality of life, and understanding diseases that can impair this sense is crucial. Pfizer sought Lumi's expertise to produce a series of explainer videos on glaucoma. The focus was to provide educational content that comprehensively covered topics such as the definition of glaucoma, debunking myths, strategies for preserving vision, and available surgical options. The goal was to increase awareness and provide accurate information to help in the prevention and proper treatment of the disease.

Challenges

The main challenge of this project was to make complex content about glaucoma accessible and easy to understand for a diverse audience. This involved explaining detailed medical concepts while simultaneously debunking common misconceptions, all in a way that kept the audience engaged. Additionally, there was a need to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and ongoing medical monitoring to prevent serious complications.

Process

Script and Storyboard Development
We began the project by creating a detailed script and storyboards to ensure that the narrative was clear and educational. Each video was designed to convey information directly, yet in an engaging tone.

Animation Production
We used motion graphics animations to bring the concepts in the scripts to life. Choosing a modern visual style helped make the content more accessible and dynamic.

Review and Feedback
We worked closely with Pfizer at every stage, ensuring that the content was scientifically accurate and aligned with the client's expectations.

Solution

To achieve Pfizer's goals, Lumi created a series of explanatory videos using motion graphics animations.
